As I mentioned in a previous post, there was a desire to capture Washington, D.C. in a way I hadn’t experienced before. One was through the emerging blossoms of Spring, and the other was through visiting the monuments at night. I hopped on an after dark tour bus and at each stop looked for non-typical ways to frame my trip. I had fun coming at the memorials from different angles and actually felt that I spent much more time studying each of their features as I searched for meaning and discovered their inspiring beauty even before I snapped the photos.

I also feel like I came away with a richer experience as I constrained myself to telling a story only through blossoms and light.
